High-Impact In-Ceiling Subwoofer

The JBL CONTROL 40CS/T is a 8", direct radiating, high impact subwoofer designed with a built-in passive crossover network that enable the Control 40CS/T to be used as part of a subwoofer-satellite system. When this JBL Control 40CS/T is combined with the Control 42, the JBL Control 40CS/T offers an powerful subwoofer-satellite system and extremely natural sounding that is perfect for applications the requires superior sonic performance and wide bandwidth with minimal visual impact. By the use of an active crossover design, the system can also be operated, with the rest of the Control Contractor in-ceiling line for superior bass response and can be operated off a 70V / 100V distributed line or in direct mode.

Featuring a large backcan along with a high powered driver, the Control 40CS/T provides extended bass response for a warm full-bodied tone. The system’s 200 mm (8 in) woofer features a polypropylene cone and pure butyl-rubber surround for long life. The copper-clad aluminum voice coil wound on a vented aluminum former provides low distortion and high sensitivity.
