A single Edge frame supports up to 16 channels of local I/O through its four configurable card slots. The AEC input card delivers four channels of transparent Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC), featuring phantom power, 54 dB of gain, and 24 dB of trim. Symetrix’s advanced AEC technology provides wideband processing with tail lengths up to 250 milliseconds and convergence rates exceeding 100 dB per second. With an industry-leading low latency of just 11 milliseconds—virtually zero when bypassed—the system ensures seamless audio performance. Each AEC channel includes dedicated reference inputs and direct outputs for local reinforcement, and AEC processing can be applied to any SymNet system input while still utilizing the card’s physical inputs. Inputs are electronically balanced and accessible via plug-in barrier strip connectors, offering control over gain with metering, trim, mute, AEC, noise cancellation, nonlinear processing, and automatic gain control (AGC).
