BOSCH PRS-4B125 Basic Amplifier, 4 X 125W
The basic amplifiers are made as a cost effective alternatives to the regular Praesideo power amplifiers, designed for situations where no built-in digital signal processing functions, such as equalizers, delay and AVC are required. They comes without a Praesideo network connection. Instead, these amplifiers are built connected to the Praesideo network with the use of the PRS-16MCI Multi Channel Interface, which is capable of providing the basic amplifier that comes along with audio signals and comes with full control. The basic amplifiers are made completely supervised and fault events are reported with the use of the multi channel interface to the Praesideo network controller. The basic amplifiers are for providing connections for separate group A and group B loudspeakers intended for each zone and support class-A loudspeaker loop wiring. The units should be mounted in a 19" rack that comes with the included mounting brackets.
Amplification
The PRS-4B125 is a professionally designed four-channel amplifier that comes along with 125 W per channel. The power supply is switched mode that comes along with low inrush current and the units are possible to run on 48 V, battery stand-by power.
Connection
The amplifiers comes along with a built-in output transformers designed for driving 70 and 100 V loudspeakers. They come with separate overload-protected group A and group B loudspeaker connections, which are capable of supporting class-A loop wiring. The separate A and B groups of each channel are possible to be configured for redundancy. The units are connecting to the PRS-16MCI Multi Channel Interface for audio, control and supervision, but stand-alone operation is possible.
Audio
The amplifiers come along with analog audio line inputs intended for low priority local audio. Networked audio from the multi channel interface is capable to override the local audio.
Security
The units are capable to operate both on mains power and on a 48 V battery power supply for emergency back up, that comes along with automatic switchover. They supervise both of the power supplies, as well as themselves. They are capable to optionally monitor loudspeakers and their lines, during the time it is used together along with the PRS-16MCI Multi Channel Interface. Complete channel separation is made for allowing one channel of the amplifier to function as a spare amplifier for the other amplifier channel. The amplifier comes along with overload and short circuit protection. An overheat protection circuit is switching off the power stage and activating the fault LED on the front panel if the internal temperature reaches a critical limit.
