Audix OM2S Handheld Hypercardioid Dynamic Microphone with On/Off Switch MIC, DYN, VOCAL, OM2 WITH ON/OFF SWITCH

The Audix OM2S is a handheld hypercardioid dynamic microphone that is professionally designed capable of delivering a highly directional capture of instruments and vocals in live stage and recording sessions. The Audix OM2S is boasting low handling noise and a hypercardioid polar patter, which not only minimizes feedback that is caused by nearby speakers and monitors, but also reducing the pickup of room ambience and stage bleed. The dynamic element's low-mass diaphragm is quickly responding to transients and is handling sound pressure levels up to 140 dB.

The Audix OM2S is producing a frequency response of 50 Hz to 16 kHz with a mild rise centered at approximately 150 Hz along with a moderate presence boost above 2 kHz. The gold-plated XLR 3-pin output is created for ensuring the compatibility with most microphone preamps and mixer inputs, and the zinc alloy body with a dent-resistant steel mesh grille is providing road-ready durability and protection. An on/off switch is provided for convenient muting of the mic between speeches or performances. The Audix OM2S was tested, designed, and assembled in the USA, and ships with a microphone clip and carrying pouch.

  • VLM Type-B capsule delivers quick transient response and a warm, full sound with gentle bass proximity
  • Hypercardioid polar pattern provides off-axis rejection of over 25 dB and high gain before feedback
  • Slight rise peaking at 150 Hz and approximately 5 dB of boost from 3 to 6 kHz
  • Can be used for a wide variety of instruments and vocals
  • Maximum SPL of 140 dB allows audio capture of loud sources without distortion
