The Audio Technica AT8492D Drum Mounting System is designed to work with the ATM350a Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone to provide a miking solution that stands up to powerful drumming. The Audio Technica AT8492D system includes  a drum mount and an AT8490 5" Gooseneck. This Audio Technica AT8492D is a unique spring-loaded drum mount clamps onto a drum's tension rod (w/o hindering your ability to adjust the tension), that is why it can providing an excellent shock resistance for the mic. Also, the Audio Technica AT8492D has a strong gooseneck, which is held securely the mount's socket by a locking screw, lets you position the mic where you want it and holds it there, no matter how hard you play.
