The heart of the Sennheiser professional modular microphone system is the Sennheiser K6-C US Powering Module. The Sennheiser K6-C can power the microphone  by its internal 'AA' size 1.5 V battery or by 12 - 48 V phantom power. The Sennheiser K6 can be combined with different condenser microphone heads to  create a wide variety of polar patterns. Sennheiser K6-C is a Matt black, anodised scratch-resistant finish.

Sennheiser K6-C can powered by either a single 1.5 V AA (battery life 150 hours) or phantom  power. On/off switch with LED indicator and bass roll-off (4.0 oz)
