Crown End Of Line Box End-of-Line Terminator
The Crown End Of Line Box is designed to use as an End of Line (EOL) termination in audio systems that is using a 20kHz pilot tone for detection short and open conditions. In the farthest end of the loudspeaker circuit is where the termination is placed. The Crown End Of Line Box isn't like the most loudspeakers, the reason is that it is reactive at 20kHz such that the resulting current is able to be measured with the use of HiQnet Audio Architect™ software. During the time of either the circuit is shorted or opened, changes will happen to the measured 20kHz current. The Crown End Of Line Box is able to present either 5Ω or 10Ω load at 20kHz, that is selectable with the use of an external impedance switch. This method is requiring the 20kHz pilot tone to be integrated or mixed together with the audio. The pilot tone is able to be generated within the USP4 family of CTs amplifiers and the DCi Network family of amplifiers. Additionally, the DSP built into the USP4 and DCi Network has designed capable of allowing the pilot tone for bypassing the internal speaker processing.
