The VUE Audiotechnik h-5 is a two-way Wide Coverage Powered System that comes with a pristine sound quality and versatility of the h-Class to a compact package that is best use for stage lip and under balcony applications or any application where it is desired of a great powered system that uses only a small amount of space and with an exceptional output-to-size ratio that is critical over a wide horizontal area.

Amazingly lightweight and compact, the VUE Audiotechnik h-5 even in its size is capable of combining two proprietary 5-inch Low-Frequency transducers that comes with a one-inch exit compression driver that features a Truextent® beryllium diaphragm at its core. The Beryllium technology is allowing the compression driver for delivering a dramatic improvements in HF extension and response linearity that can't be matched simply by traditional aluminum or titanium designs. The beryllium compression driver is mounted to a new precision horn with 120 degree (H) by 40 degree (V) coverage. Mike Adams (VUE Design Chief) designed this VUE Audiotechnik h-5 horn based on the classic Smith diffraction horn design that permits a very wide horizontal coverage.

Ultra High-Efficiency Amplifier with on Board DSP

The VUE Audiotechnik h-5 is fitted using a 2-channel, high-efficiency power amplifier module is capable to provide an ample power for both transducers, and eliminates the need for noisy cooling fans at the same time. A lightweight, fully protected switch mode power supply that comes with an auto voltage detection for providing a hassle-free worldwide operation with universal mains operation from 85V to 260V.

Sophisticated onboard DSP and networking capabilities come courtesy of the same 64-bit digital processor found inside the h-12 and h-15 systems. This powerful processor handles all EQ, time alignment, crossover management, and speaker protection, as well as SystemVUE network control and monitoring functions.

Rugged Versatile Enclosure

Even the h-Class cabinets are intended to a raise the standard for quality and attention to detail. The enclosure has a semi-trapezoidal design with a right angle that points freight when on the bottom, or a 5 degree down angle when mounted to the ceiling.

Like the larger h-Class models, the h-5 grill is coated with a two-part finish that lays a transparent candy-apple red coating over a base coat of black. The durable finish has a deep red hue that’s uniquely attractive while remaining entirely unobtrusive. The heavy aluminum rear panel is both functional and visually impactful, with the “VUE” logo machined directly into the heat-sink fins.

All h-Class enclosures are manufactured to the strictest ISO standards, using multi-ply, cross-grain laminated birch with extensive interior bracing for resonant-free output. The h-5 features a pole mount, integrated hanging points, and optional rigging hardware for easy deployment as a main system, within multi-cabinet arrays, or in a variety of support configurations. A rugged, polyurethane finish ensures years of on-the-road service.
