Universal Audio PCI2O-C UAD-2 OCTO Core

The Universal Audio PCI2O-C UAD-2 OCTO Core is designed consisting of a short form PCIe (Express) card with eight SHARC processors designed for use in either Windows or Mac native audio workstations. The supplements the DSP processing of these systems, which can give the computer's CPU freeing resources and more headroom for other functions including the ability to use more native effects and additional tracks, heavier mix automation.

The "Core" part of the Universal Audio PCI2O-C UAD-2 OCTO Core is the Analog Classics, it is a software bundle that comes with the card. Featuring the four of the company's most popular plug-in emulations that is capable of capturing the essence of the analog hardware counterparts. The LA-2A Classic Audio Leveler is created equipped with the sound of the classic electro-optical analog compressor, on the other side the 1176LN Classic Limiting Amplifier is an accurate emulation of UA's legendary FET-based hardware.

The 1176LN have a DSP-optimized version, it is the 1176SE Limiting Amplifier that comes along with a higher instance counts while featuring its own unique characteristics. The Pultec EQP-1A Program Equalizer plug-in is designed as a faithful electronic reproduction of the renowned hardware EQ. RealVerb Pro is a natural sounding and flexible reverb plug-in based on a unique set of algorithms, designed for allowing the user to design the room just as they hear it.

The Universal Audio PCI2O-C UAD-2 OCTO Core is created for supporting the use of other manufacturer's Audio Units, VST or RTAS plug-ins when used with the appropriate host software. Additionally, in just a single host computer, or combined with other UAD-2 devices, or with also the Apollo audio interface, and the UAD-2 Satellite (FireWire), can use up to four UAD-2 cards simultaneously.
