The Decimator MD-DUCC: Multi-Definition Up Down Cross Converter is made compact and suitable for use on location or in a studio, it is professionally designed capable of converting it to SDI, HDMI, and component/composite & Y/C. The unit auto capable of detecting the input signal, and is maintaining a full 10-bit data path from input to output. It comes featuring true up/down cross converting between any of the supported formats, you just need to select the output format you want, and the device will auto detect and convert with no further input. This device is giving you the capability of converting from HD to SD, as well as SD to HD.

The cross converter is capable of supporting the motion adaptive deinterlacing, and aspect ratio conversion between 16:9, 14:9, and 4:3. You are able to select HD to HD, HD to SD, SD to HD and SD to SD conversions. The unit also comes capable of supporting 16 channels of audio level metering, along with any of the 4 audio groups embedded in the SDI stream individually selectable. The built-in graticule generator is able to produce Action Safe, Title Safe and Center Cross, Action and Title safe are especially important by the time down converting HD material for display on an SD monitor, as you don't want to cut off important action or any of the credits. In addition to the graticule generation, the unit is supporting text overlays.

Outputs come including one SDI loop-through output, two SDI, one HDMI out, as well as three BNCs that are supporting the component, composite, and Y/C video signals. Analog audio as well as AES audio is available with the use of two RCA jacks built into the unit, and if you want to use GPI triggers, that is available to you by the use of the RJ-35 jack. The unit comes along with a power supply that comes with locking power cable to prevent accidental power loss during use.
