OPTIX is a low noise RF to fiber optic (RFoF) conversion system designed to facilitate the remote placement of wireless audio antennas. It converts radio frequency energy arriving from an antenna source into an optical signal, sends that signal down a length of fiber-optic cable, and converts the signal back into RF.

OPTIX Series 3 is designed to facilitate the remote placement of wireless audio antennas. RF VENUE Optix RF Over Fiber System module converts RF signals arriving from an antenna source into a singlemode optical signal, then sends that signal down a length of fiber-optic cable to the OPTIX Receiver module which converting the source signal back into RF. If there is no signal loss over the optical cable, the range of antenna placement can be extended up to several kilometer by the OPTIX system, then eliminates the lossy and bulky coaxial cable runs. It is best for live production as well as installed sound, OPTIX Series 3 is created with the extensive user configurable controls to manage signal level, apply DC power for active amplifiers or antennas, and even directly monitor outputs to dial in performance. Compatible across UHF, VHF, and the 900 MHz band, OPTIX Series 3 can be use along with any brand wireless audio system.
