Lectrosonics DBU, DIGITAL ENCRYPTED BELTPACK TX

The Lectrosonics DBu transmitter is a fourth-generation design featuring highly efficient digital circuitry that delivers extended operating time from just two AA batteries. It provides flexible UHF tuning across the 470–608 MHz television band, with export versions supporting 470–614 MHz. Users can select either 25 or 50 mW of RF output power, while the transmitter’s fully digital architecture supports AES-256-CTR encryption for applications requiring a high level of audio security. The top panel provides convenient access to the antenna connector, audio input level indicators, programmable function switch, and audio input connector. Red and green LED indicators display audio levels from -20 dB through the onset of limiting, making it easy to set input gain accurately. The programmable switch can be assigned to several functions, including audio mute, power on/off, or talkback, or it can be disabled when not required. The DBu delivers studio-quality audio performance through carefully selected preamp components, a wide input-gain range, and DSP-controlled limiting. Its input configuration supports a broad range of sources, including lavalier microphones, dynamic microphones, and line-level signals. Input gain can be adjusted across a 44 dB range in precise 1 dB increments, allowing the transmitter to be matched closely to the incoming signal. This helps maximize available dynamic range while maintaining an excellent signal-to-noise ratio.
