The DPA Microphones d:fine 4166 is designed as a flexible miniature microphone solution that comes featuring a very quick and easy adjustment possibilities. One of it particular model DPA 4166-OL-F-C00-LE is created with a MicroDot connector which is allowing wireless mic adapter interchangeability. 

The DPA 4166-OL-F-C00-LE d:fine 4166 is combining the legendary sound of the d:fine 4066 Omnidirectional Capsule alongside a lightweight and flexible earset system. This condenser mic is fast and easy to adjust and it is also offering a transparent, clean sound quality with lots of headroom. The capsule itself is a similar type as the d:fine 4066, but is attached to an interchangeable boom arm. Like all d:fine microphones, the DPA 4166-OL-F-C00-LE / 4166 Omnidirectional Earset Mic is designed capable for offering an accurate, natural voice intelligibility and very high SPL capabilities.

The sensitivity is 6mV/Pa that matches the level of the human voice to the general input sensitivity of most wireless transmitters. The noise floor of the Type 4166 is 26 dB(A) re. 20 µPa and if it is correctly powered, the microphone will be capable of handling the sound pressure levels up to 144 dB SPL before clipping occurs. A wide range of connection adapters is making it possible to use the 4166 with most of the professional wireless systems available plus 48 V phantom XLR connection.
