Audio Technica U891RCB is a wide-range condenser microphone designed with a cardioid polar pattern, it is created with a built-in locat and remote switching options. Locally, the microphone’s touch-sensitive capacitive-type user switch is able to be set to three operating modes: press to mute, press to talk, and mainly touch-on/touch-off. The unit's external contact closure capability is allowing its user to trigger an external device, it is designed for enhanced control in boardroom and conference installations, that includes a camera, for instance – from the microphone’s user switch. The phantom-powered mic features an 80 Hz low-cut UniSteep® filter for reducing the pickup of low-frequency ambient noise. Its two-state RGB LED status indicator is designed to be able to be controlled remotely. UniGuard® innovations are offering unsurpassed immunity from radio frequency interference; additional interchangeable elements are available separately in omnidirectional and hypercardioid polar patterns; and no tools needed, its unique PivotPoint® rotating connector changes the cable exit point. The microphone’s silicon foam bottom pads in its heavy die-cast case are both minimizing the coupling of surface vibration to the microphone, at the same time its threaded inserts on the bottom of the microphone is designed for allowing the case to be mounted with screws for increased security. The unit’s self-contained electronics are designed for eliminating the need for an external power module.
