The Coles 4030 L made by Coles is a professionally designed studio ribbon, figure 8 polar pattern microphone that has been manufactured with the use of CNC machinery and magnet technology as used in the Coles 4040 and 4050 microphones. The frequency response of the 4030L is created to be exceptionally flat, from 50 to 20,000 Hz, and throughout this range the shape of the bi-directional (figure of eight) polar response is being maintained substantially constant both in the horizontal and vertical planes.
