Pro Intercom HS2T Single Circuit Desktop/ Wall Mount Fixed Headset Station

The Pro Intercom HS2T is functioning as a very much like a beltpack, but it is enclosed in a sturdy metal cabinet that which may placed on a console or desk, hung vertically by its rear panel keyhole slots. Stick-on plastic feet are supplied for desktop use. Connection to a circuit is with the use of an 3-pin (male) XLR on the top. The second (female) XLR may be used for looping onwards to the next station in the system.

Front panel controls are providing the turning for the headset of handset microphone to be turned On or Off, adjusting the level heard in the headset or handset's earspeaker, signaling other stations or receiving a visual signal with the use of the dual purpose call button, and adjusting the microphone sensitivity for accommodating either electret or dynamic microphones.

Frequency response has been carefully shaped for optimizing both intelligibility and long-term listening comfort. A mic limiter circuit is reducing overload distortion. The high bridging impedance is ensuring that the system and sidetone levels don't vary as other stations are switched in and out of the circuit.

The signal light button also serves as the signal light. A recessed, screwdriver-adjust control is provided for varying the level of the user's voice to be heard in his own earphone (sidetone). The HS2T has 3-pin XLR connectors on the rear panel for connection of the station and daisy chaining on to the next station in the circuit.

The component board of the HS2T is mounted to a thick metal mounting plate. Long-life switches and controls are used. The cabinet is constructed to withstand the rugged use associated with touring. Simplicity of construction affords the use of high quality components while maintaining a favorable cost/benefit ratio. The HS2 Series is compatible with Clear-Com and other lesser-known (unbalanced 200Ω) party-line headset intercom systems.
