Enhancing the FP 7000's efficiency further is the Regulated Switch Mode Power Supply (R.SMPS™), which not only stabilizes rail voltages for consistent output but also handles wide fluctuations in mains voltage. Network Control

The FP 7000 comes equipped with a standard NomadLink® network interface, enabling comprehensive monitoring of crucial amplifier parameters and remote control functionalities such as power on/off, channel muting, and channel solo functions. It’s worth noting that NomadLink operation necessitates the NLB 60E NomadLink Bridge & Network Controller, which must be obtained separately.

The FP+ front panel display offers a real-time view of essential performance parameters, providing a comprehensive and user-friendly interface. Its bright, color-coded LEDs offer clear indications of control activations, warnings, and faults, eliminating the need for navigating through menus. This instant feedback makes it easy to identify issues like blown drivers, shorted lines, or over-temperature channels without the confusion of generic or ambiguous indicator lights.

The FP+ rear panel offers a comprehensive array of input and output connections along with RJ45 ports for NomadLink® control and monitoring. Using the DIP-switch matrix, you can swiftly assign either hard or soft attack to the limiter functions, adjust overall gain across seven different levels, bridge channel pairs, and optimize the Voltage Peak Limiter (VPL) for the best output characteristics with the connected load. These adjustments can be made quickly, within seconds, while the amplifier remains installed in the rack.

The FP+ Series boasts an exceptional power-to-size ratio through the refinement of two proprietary technologies: the regulated switch-mode power supply (R.SMPS™) and the patented Class TD™ output stage, both integrated into all four FP+ Series amplifiers. This advanced generation of proprietary circuits enables higher power output within a smaller package while upholding LAB GRUPPEN’s renowned reputation for sonic quality. Efficient and consistent cooling is achieved through the ultra-efficient Intercooler®, which employs thousands of tiny copper cooling fins. These fins enhance heat sink exposure to the airflow, ensuring uniform and effective cooling. Temperature-sensitive twin variable-speed fans force air over the Intercooler fins in a front-to-rear flow pattern. Mounting all output devices transverse to the airflow guarantees a uniform cooling effect, minimizing the risk of overheating and potentially premature failure that might occur with traditional "end-of-tunnel" output transistors.
