Lectrosonics IFBT2.0, UHF Dual-Channel IFB Rack Transmitter

The Lectrosonics IFBT2.0 is a professional half-rack, dual-channel IFB transmitter designed for broadcast studios, film and television production, and location sound carts. It provides flexible audio connectivity, reliable RF performance, and high-quality transmission in a compact rack-mountable format. The IFBT2.0 features menu-selectable inputs for analog microphone/line-level audio, Dante™, AES digital audio, Clear-Com, and RTS communication systems. Its inputs can also accommodate “wet” signals, allowing operation with audio connections carrying DC voltage. For system management, the transmitter includes USB-C and Ethernet connectivity for use with Wireless Designer software, supporting system monitoring, setup, frequency coordination, and configuration.

The IFBT2.0 offers IFB and NU/EU Hybrid compatibility, allowing it to work with a wide range of Lectrosonics IFB, Digital Hybrid, and compatible digital receivers. Supported receivers include the IFBR1, IFBR1A, IFBR1B, IFBR1C, Venue, Venue 2, UCR411a, R400a, LR, DCR822, DSR, DSR4, M2Ra, and DSQD. Each RF output incorporates a Circulator/Isolator, which acts as a one-way RF valve to prevent external signals from entering the transmitter. This helps reduce intermodulation products and allows for tighter frequency coordination, even when operating at higher RF power levels. North American versions provide selectable RF output power of 10, 25, 50, 100, or 250 mW, while EU versions offer 10, 25, or 50 mW. Beyond IFB applications, the IFBT2.0 can also function as a high-fidelity point-to-point audio transmitter using NU/EU Hybrid compatibility mode, providing a flat 40 Hz–20 kHz response without audio companding.

Features

  • RF power settings at 10, 25, 50, 100, and 250 mW (North American versions), and 10, 25, and 50 mW (International versions).
  • AES and Dante digital connectivity
  • Analog mic level, line level, ClearCom and RTS inputs, including DC blocking for “wet” signals
  • Menu-driven control for RF power, frequency, compatibility modes, transmit status, input type, test tone generation, and more
  • Wireless Designer compatible (WD v2.1.10 and higher for both Mac and PC)
  • USB-C for Wireless Designer connection and firmware updating
  • Ethernet connection for control/programming via Wireless Designer software
  • Circulator/Isolator for high RF power with minimal intermodulation products generated
