The Lectrosonics SM “V” Series transmitters are engineered to deliver an optimal balance of extended operating range and efficient battery performance. Selectable RF output power allows users to tailor transmission strength to the requirements of different applications, while select models include a 50 mW setting for theatrical systems that call for reduced transmitter power. The input stage features Lectrosonics' proven servo bias circuitry and a standard TA5M connector, supporting electret lavalier microphones, dynamic microphones, and line-level sources. A DSP-controlled analog audio limiter is positioned ahead of the A/D converter to provide more than 30 dB of overload protection while maintaining transparent, low-distortion audio. Its dual-release design responds rapidly to brief transients and gradually to sustained high-level signals, minimizing audible artifacts while preserving natural short-term dynamics.
