The KW Series from QSC is created to represent the next evolutionary step in wood-enclosure loudspeakers. Their QSC system engineers have created the KW Series to feature being both significantly lighter and smaller than previous wood-enclosure models and also to feature all the groundbreaking electronic attributes of their popular K Series. The QSC KW181 is an active 18” subwoofer that features a 1000W (2 x 500W continuous) Class D power module in a QSC-design. Its texture-painted, rugged birch enclosure boasts a professional look as well as stellar sound, with ergonomic handles, a 35mm pole socket with included pole and a tour-grade 16-gauge steel grille. The QSC KW181's mixer section has single summed balanced out and two direct channel outputs, along with two combo inputs plus stereo RCA ins. The extensive onboard DSP features Intrinsic Correction and DEEP technologies that enhance system performance, while GuardRail protects both your performance and amp module from unnatural, destructive clipping.

• Intrinsic Correction™, first featured in our high-end line-array products maps 65–75 spatially-averaged measurements to IIR and FIR filters that actively adjust time, frequency and amplitude response to a maximally flat band pass target. The result is a speaker that behaves equally well across the entire sound field.
• DEEP™ and excursion limiting allow for extended low-frequency response by actively managing low-frequency transients without degradation of the underlying signal or adjacent frequencies.
