The Meyer Sound MPS-488HP-3 is a professionally designed IntelligentDC power supply that is capable of powering and balancing the audio to up to eight Meyer Sound loudspeakers that are requiring an external DC power supply. The single-space 19-inch rack MPS‑488HP is capable to be used along with a number of products that are featuring IntelligentDC technology, such as: the UP-4XP ultracompact loudspeaker, MM‑4XP miniature loudspeaker, MM‑10XP miniature subwoofer, and HMS‑10 surround loudspeaker.

Meyer Sound's externally powered loudspeakers are made equipped along with onboard amplification and signal-processing circuits that are storing the DC power and tolerate voltage is dropping (up to 30 percent), thereby accommodating light-gauge cables and lengthy cable runs. Powering loudspeakers came from an external source for eliminating the need for wiring conduits and still preserving the advantages of self-powered systems at the same time.

MPS-488HP routes DC power and balanced audio to up to eight loudspeakers. Supply audio and power signals through a single connector, available as either Phoenix 5-pin or Switchcraft® EN3 5-pin. For added flexibility, toggle switches route inputs to one or more channel outputs.

Applications

The MPS-488HP is capable of powering up to eight loudspeakers and is ideal for use along with our 48 V DC IntelligentDC line, that includes the UP-4XP ultra-compact loudspeaker, MM-4XP miniature loudspeaker, MM-10XP miniature subwoofer, and HMS-10 cinema surround loudspeaker.
