The Shure ULX2 Wireless Handheld Transmitter is designed to be used with Shure's ULX series wireless microphone receivers. The transmitter ULX2 Wireless Handheld also exists with various Shure microphone capsules; this version is featured with the SM86 cardioid microphone head. The ULX2 will be operated for up to 9 hours on a single 9-volt alkaline battery.
