Microtech Gefell M 930 Ts Large-Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone with Output Transformer (Matched Pair, Satin Nickel)

The M 930 Ts studio microphone combines proven large diaphragm capsule technology with an optimized output transformer and a newly developed circuit design. This results in signal transmission with minimal distortion, enhanced low-frequency response, an exceptionally low noise floor, and high sound pressure levels even under heavy external loads. Due to its compact dimensions, the M 930 Ts is ideally suited for applications where discreet placement is essential, allowing for unobtrusive visibility of manuscripts and monitors. It can be conveniently placed on speaker desks in radio stations and excels in dialog pickups, audiobook recordings, and dubbing studios. Furthermore, it serves as a primary microphone for recording solo instruments or vocals, as well as a spot microphone for capturing instrumental groups. Additionally, it is compatible with accessories for XY-, ORTF-, and INA 5 arrangements. Thanks to its balanced low-impedance transformer output, the M 930 Ts can be used with longer cable lengths with minimal distortion.

Output Transformer: The M 930 Ts boasts the same 1.1" large-diaphragm capsule found in the original M 930, but it also incorporates a modified impedance-converter circuit and a specially designed output transformer. This enhances the microphone's low-end response, enables longer cable runs, and provides increased headroom, especially when used with high-impedance preamps.

For Demanding Users: Designed for professional and semi-professional users with exacting standards, the microphone is particularly well-suited for universal use in radio and recording studios, and it also excels in the demanding home recording sector.

Versatile Applications: The M 930 Ts finds applications in a wide range of scenarios, including singing, speaking engagements, radio productions, and as a support microphone for recording various instruments such as guitars, keyboards, percussion, wind instruments, and strings.

Solid-State Condenser: Combining updated large-diaphragm capsule technology with the latest semiconductor circuit technology, the M 930 Ts delivers a smooth frequency response with a slight presence boost in the 6 to 12 kHz range.

Detailed and Clear: Thanks to its newly perfected electronic impedance converter circuit topology, the microphone achieves an extremely low noise floor (just 7 dBA) while simultaneously increasing the maximum output capability. This results in a clean, distortion-free sound over an exceptionally wide dynamic range, with very low susceptibility to radio frequency interference (RFI).

Cardioid Polar Pattern: The microphone's polar response demonstrates an exceptionally high degree of rejection for sounds approaching from the rear.

Internal Elastic Suspension: Elastically suspended within its compact metal housing, the microphone capsule and electronics are shielded from mechanical impact and structure-borne noise, ensuring clarity and precision in sound reproduction.
