Microtech Gefell M 990 Cardioid Tube Condenser Microphone

The Microtech Gefell M 990 is a cardioid tube condenser microphone offering high signal-to-noise performance and tube warmth for vocals, radio production, and orchestral recording. It features a large diaphragm capsule with a gold-coated PE membrane, which is complemented by the specially selected EF 86 vacuum preamp tube. With its high sensitivity and wide dynamic range, the M 990 delivers a full sound while maintaining low self-noise. The microphone connects to the power supply unit via a 7-pin cable, while a 3-pin XLR output is provided on the power supply for connection to your mic preamp. The supplied elastic suspension securely holds the M 990 and mitigates the transfer of vibrations and stand-handling noise. An aluminum case is provided to house the microphone, power supply, and other included components. A draft shield is also supplied to reduce breath noise and light plosives.
