The Warm Audio WA-14 is professionally designed for use in studio applications, it a microphone that comes along with three selectable polar patterns that comes including omnidirectional, cardioid, and figure-8. It’s a suitable mic built for capturing sources as various as vocals, drum overheads, acoustic guitars, amplifiers, and more.
This large-diaphragm condenser is capable to give you a 1” capsule constructed out of brass. This Lens Kondensator design is edge-terminated, sputtered in 24kt gold, and emulative of the vintage CK-12 (a classic and dependable mic). It comes utilizing a fully discrete circuitry, the diaphragm is skinned with 6-micron Japanese Mylar for good measure. The microphone is sporting a balanced XLR connection, as well as a custom CineMag output transformer manufactured in the United States.
In addition to its switchable polar patterns, the microphone is capable of providing two different pads, which is giving you the capability of using the WA-14 with sources of higher and higher SPLs—all the way to 150 dB with the pad set to -20 dB. The WA-14 ships with a hard mount and shockmount.
