The Universal Audio TB3SATQ-C UAD-2 Satellite TB3 is a  DSP accelerator designed for allowing the access to UAD plug-ins within any DAW software running on Thunderbolt 3 equipped Windows and Mac computers. If the user have the appropriate cable, it is also backwards compatible with Thunderbolt 1 or 2.

The standalone DSP, is powered by four SHARC processors, and capable of providing extensive plug-in instantiation for large mixes while delivering world-class analog emulation and without taxing the host computer.

The Thunderbolt 3's other benefits equipped DSP accelerator does include greater UAD plug-in instances (when compared with previous version, the interface requires less of its own DSP to function), at higher sample rates with improved performance, and reduced UAD plug-in latency. Additionally, by just creating expanded systems for running complex mixes the unit can be supercharge existing Apollo interfaces and other UAD-2 DSP Accelerator systems.

The The Universal Audio TB3SATQ-C UAD-2 Satellite TB3 does include in the unit is the company's Analog Classics bundle, comes with the UA 610-B Preamp and EQ, and also with legacy editions of the LA-2A Classic Audio Leveler, Pultec Pro Equalizers, 1176LN / 1176SE Classic Limiting Amplifier, UA Precision Enhancer Hz, Fairchild 670 Tube Limiter, RealVerb Pro plug-ins, and CS-1 Precision Channel.
