The Universal Audio TBSATO-C UAD-2 Satellite Thunderbolt OCTO Core is a DSP accelerator designed for allowing the access to UAD plug-ins within any DAW software running on Thunderbolt or Thunderbolt 2 equipped Mac computers. This standalone DSP accelerator is powered by eight SHARC processors and capable of providing extensive plug-in instantiation for large mixes without taxing the host computer, and at the same time it can deliver world-class analog emulation.

The Universal Audio TBSATO-C UAD-2 Satellite Thunderbolt have other benefits equipped with DSP accelerator include greater UAD plug-in instances (when compared with previous versions the interface requires less of its own DSP to function). And addition to that, the unit is able to supercharge existing Apollo interfaces and other UAD-2 DSP Accelerator systems by creating expanded systems for running complex mixes.

Universal Audio TBSATO-C UAD-2 includes the company's Analog Classics bundle, and comes with UA 610-B Preamp and EQ with the legacy editions of the LA-2A Classic Audio Leveler, Fairchild 670 Tube Limiter, 1176LN / 1176SE Classic Limiting Amplifier, Pultec Pro Equalizers, RealVerb Pro plug-ins, UA Precision Enhancer, and CS-1 Precision Channel.
