The Tascam HS-20 Contractor Recorder is professionally designed for the needs of contractors, it is a digital stereo recorder that comes along with integrated network functionality such as automated recording and delivery even without the need for supervision. The unit is functioning as a file server that is allowing the recordings to be manually downloaded over a network. With the use of client software, third parties are capable of uploading files to the server that comes along with the option to delete them by the time it is finished. Additionally, recording and playback is capable to be automated, thanks to the system's internal clock being able to be synchronized to any internet time server.

The unit comes boasting a weighted jog/shuttle wheel and a color TFT touchscreen display. It comes featuring a variety of connectivity options, that includes the balanced and unbalanced analog connectors along with S/PDIF and AES/EBU digital output connections. It is capable of tracking in up to 24-bit/192kHz resolution.
