The Blackmagic Design BMD-CONVMSDIDA, also named as Mini Converter SDI Distribution, is a 1x8 distribution amplifier designed for SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI signals. The Mini Converter is capable to auto-detect the input signal type, re-clocks it, and its eight outputs automatically for matching the SDI video input. This device is designed for representing an affordable way for distributing the SDI signals throughout a facility or truck. 

The Mini Converter SDI Distribution is capable of supporting all SDI-related transmission features, that includes embedded audio, ancillary data, and the 3 Gb/s transmission rate capable of accommodating video formats up to 1080p and 2K progressive. It is even capable of handling ASI signals - asynchronous signals that carry multiple compressed programs that is possible to be at varying transmission speeds.
