The Atlona AT-OMNI-DEC-DV2 is an included feature of OmniStream™ Pro and R-Type AV over IP systems for distribution of 4K video with Dolby Vision dynamic HDR at 60 Hz frame rate, with 12-bit color resolution and 4:2:2 chroma subsampling. OmniStream AV over IP systems are supporting Ultra HD Blu-ray and HDR10 for OTT (over-the-top) streaming services, as well as HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) for 4K HDR broadcast services. The addition of Dolby Vision is dramatically expands the breadth of available HDR content for distribution and transmission over OmniStream networked AV systems. Dolby Vision capability is also included on R-Type and OmniStream Pro decoders. This enhancement adds to the scalability, value and performance offered by OmniStream, as well as the integration advantages and inherent cost of AV distribution over Gigabit Ethernet.

By the use of a proprietary algorithm engineered at Atlona, the ability to transmit Dolby Vision-enhanced content is enabled. This capability is exceeding the limitations of video distribution systems over IP networks that removing the metadata necessary for Dolby Vision playback.
