The Shure KSM11 is a black cardioid condenser microphone capsule designed for Shure handheld wireless microphones, featuring an interchangeable cartridge design. With its cardioid polar pattern, the KSM11 cartridge effectively rejects off-axis noise, ensuring that audio capture remains focused on the talent while minimizing background noise. The capsule's aluminum and steel grille provides robust protection for the microphone, incorporating a 3-layer pop filter to mitigate breath and plosive noises. Additionally, the built-in shock mount effectively reduces handling noise during live performances, resulting in clearer vocals.
