Yamaha RIVAGE PM5 and PM3 Digital Mixing Systems
The Rivage Family consists of the PM10, PM10 Compact. PM7, PM5, and PM3. If you are wanting to know why would you purchase a PM7 over a PM5 or a PM5 over a PM7 or PM1010, or even why would you upgrade from a CL Series console to a Rivage System please send us an email below and we will contact you so that you have all the information you need to make a decision that best suit your budget and needs
Yamaha Rivage PM3 Console and the PM5 Mixer are the 2 new Rivage mixers that are gaining more popularity. First off if you need a quote price and training on a PM5 or PM3 Rivage System just call us or email us. The PM5 and PM3 mixers unlike the PM7 do not include an internal DSP engine. That means you will either need to purchase a DSP-RX, or a DSP-RX-EX engine with the purchase of the PM3 ( CS-R3 ) or the PM5 ( CS-R5 ). Both consoles have a built in large touch screen which makes moving around the console much easier. If you were looking to purchase a PM3 or PM5 to use the SILK then you would need to purchase the RPIO Stage boxes like the RPIO222 or the RPIO622. You cannot use the SILK with any of the RIO Stage boxes. So if you wanted to use the total benefits of the PM3 or PM5 besides the DSP engine you would need RPIO Stage boxes with SILK cards. At that time you would have a an amazing system capable of carrying 400 c channels ( depending on your package system).

Stage boxes for the Rivage PM5 and PM3 Digital mixers
The Yamaha Pm5 and PM3 consoles require input stage boxes and you can choose between the TWINLANe capable RPIO622, and the RPIO222 if you wanted that Rupert Neve Designs transformer and SILK processing circuitry, as it will give you a very enhanced sound. The price for the stage boxes is not that different than the regular RIO stage boxes but when you add on the HY cards and SILK card it makes a price difference, You can also use the RIO3224-D2, and the RIO1608-D2 as well with the Rivage PM3 and PM5 consoles. In other words you do not need to use the RPIO stage boxes and can use the RIO stage boxes as they are a ready to go box with high quality mic pres. Specially the new D2 versions that ship with redundant power supplies and much better features than the D1 series. Also keep in mind if your use of the Console had needs of high input channel counts then the RPIO is really the way to go as it can give you up to 400 channels
