ALLEN HEATH AB-168 is a Digital Stage Box is a 48kHz easy to carry remote AudioRack for use alongside with the GLD, Qu and SQ mixers.

Showing its distinctive attribute 8 XLR line outs and 16 mic preamps with Phantom Power indicators, ALLEN HEATH AB-168 works on Allen & Heath's proprietary dSNAKE protocol and can work perfectly and laong with both the Qu and GLD ranges.

Making an ALLEN HEATH AB-168 to work with a compatible system will allow some or all I/O to be positioned up to 100m from the mixer. Via a secure dSNAKE EtherCon port the ALLEN HEATH AB-168 unit connects over a single Cat5 cable to the Qu/GLD mixer or AR2412 AudioRack. For daisy-chaining to another ALLEN HEATH AB-168 box or connection of a ME personal mixing system a second EtherCon port is provided. For continous synchonization with the system ALLEN HEATH AB-168 auto updates its firmware.

During performances it can be placed on the stage floor because the rack's rugged design, including rubber bumpers, renders it highly roadworthy allow it to be. ALLEN HEATH AB-168 is also crafted and built for maximum conveniece and portability since it just weighs at just 4.8kg and featuring a sturdy carry handle. An optional rack mounting it is also available.
