Blackmagic Design BMD-SWRCONV ATEM Camera Converter

The Blackmagic Design BMD-SWRCONV, also named as ATEM Camera Converter, is professionally designed for enabling the extension of SDI (serial digital interface) / HDMI cameras to distances up to 28 miles (45km) with the use of an optical fiber link. You are now able to connect your camera to the SDI/HDMI inputs for converting videos to optical signals. This optical fiber input is possible to be connected to the switcher program feed for converting to SDI/HDMI outputs for monitoring. In addition, the SDI/HDMI outputs is possible to be switched between return program and camera input for monitoring.

With an internal battery, the converter is designed possible to be used at remote locations by the time the cameras are placed at far-off locations. Featured Talkback function is made for allowing the switcher operator to co-ordinate along with camera operator with the use of PC headsets or iPhone-compatible headphones. By embedding microphone audio into channels 15 and 16 of the camera optical fiber video output, the Talkback function listens to channels 15 and 16 of the optical fiber input on the headphones.

With the use of the 12V power connection, the converter is possible to be connected to any power source or a car battery. By connecting the switcher’s program output to the ATEM Camera Converter using the optical outputs, the camera converter is illuminating the 2 tally LEDs with the use of open standard tally packet in the SDI output. You are able to select the camera number with the use of the USB software or by camera number button on the keypad. In addition, you area also able to view red color tally on the monitor by connecting external monitoring to the HDMI/SDI outputs.

It comes featuring an integrated belt clip, the camera converter is possible to be attached to the belt for portability. With the help of a camera mount, the converter is possible to be mounted onto a tripod. In addition, the camera converter comes featuring a microphone inputs for audio capability.

Made of aircraft-grade aluminum, the camera converter is possible to withstand bumps and shocks without breaking. Built-in button pad is designed for giving you the ability to control power, microphone level, talkback and video, and battery indicators. You can update converters firmware with the use of a USB port. The camera converter is also possible to be used for applications such as concerts, sporting events, lecture theaters, houses of worship, surveillance, or any remote camera location.
