The Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 is a highly versatile 3-in-1 professional camera that seamlessly combines the capabilities of a broadcast camera, live production camera, and digital cinema camera into a single powerful system. Designed for television studios, live events, sports, news gathering, documentaries, and cinematic productions, it delivers exceptional image quality and workflow flexibility for virtually any professional shooting environment. Powered by Blackmagic Generation 5 Colour Science, the URSA Broadcast G2 produces rich, lifelike colours, natural skin tones, and an expanded dynamic range for stunning, broadcast-quality images. In addition to capturing UHD 4K for live and studio productions, it also functions as a 6K digital cinema camera, allowing filmmakers to record in Blackmagic RAW for greater creative control during editing, colour grading, and visual effects.

The camera features a 2/3-inch B4 lens mount, making it fully compatible with professional broadcast lenses commonly used for ENG, sports, and live television production. An included active EF lens mount adapter expands compatibility with Canon EF cinema and photographic lenses, giving users the flexibility to switch between broadcast and cinematic workflows with ease. Built-in optical ND filters enable fast exposure adjustments without affecting colour balance, while support for custom 3D LUTs allows users to preview cinematic looks directly in-camera, reducing guesswork during production.

Professional connectivity includes 12G-SDI input and output for high-bandwidth video transmission, making it ideal for UHD broadcast workflows. Dual XLR audio inputs provide high-quality professional audio capture, while support for both Apple ProRes 422 and Blackmagic RAW recording offers the flexibility to choose the workflow that best suits your production. Footage can be recorded directly to CFast 2.0 or SD UHS-II cards for reliable, high-performance media storage. Constructed from lightweight yet durable magnesium alloy, the URSA Broadcast G2 is designed to withstand demanding production environments while remaining comfortable for handheld operation. It can be powered using the included 12V DC power supply or the integrated V-mount battery plate, allowing compatibility with professional high-capacity batteries for extended shooting sessions.

To help you get started immediately, the camera includes a URSA Mini shoulder pad, URSA Mini top handle, viewfinder mounting plate, installation hardware, and lens caps. It also comes with a full license for DaVinci Resolve Studio, providing a complete professional solution for editing, colour grading, visual effects, motion graphics, and audio post-production, along with access to future Blackmagic camera software updates.
