Upgrade your camera with professional monitoring, recording, and audio capabilities using the Blackmagic Design Video Assist 3G-SDI/HDMI 7" Recording Monitor. Featuring a bright 7-inch Full HD+ touchscreen, dual SD card recording, and professional audio inputs, it is designed to support both professional and consumer camera workflows. The 7-inch display features a 1920 × 1200 resolution with 300 cd/m² brightness, providing a detailed view for accurate framing and focusing. With both 3G-SDI and HDMI inputs, the monitor records video up to 1080p60 in 10-bit 4:2:2 quality while supporting up to 16 channels of embedded 24-bit/48 kHz audio.

For enhanced audio recording, the Video Assist 3G 7" includes two balanced 3-pin mini-XLR inputs with 48V phantom power, allowing direct connection of professional microphones. Firmware version 3.3.1 further expands functionality by adding USB Type-C webcam output, XLR audio mapping to different channels, XLR external timecode support, and selectable audio monitoring channels. The responsive touchscreen provides access to professional monitoring tools including histogram, waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope, exposure tools, and more. Dual UHS-I SD card slots support recording to SDXC and SDHC media using Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHD codecs, while a built-in tally light clearly indicates recording status. The monitor can be powered using the included 12V power adapter or optional Sony L-Series batteries installed in the dual battery slots.
