The black Kronos 88 made by Korg is a professionally designed music workstation that comes along with a vast palette of sounds, detailed 8" TouchView display, integrated editing, 16-track audio recorder, 16-track sequencer, and extensive sampling capabilities. The keyboard comes featuring nine distinct sound engines, that comes along with each engine dedicated to authentically reproducing its respective instrument type, that includes detailed pianos, tone-wheel organs, vintage keyboard sounds, ethnic instruments, analog synthesizers, plucked instruments, and more.

The sequencer is capable to access any combination of sound engines and imported samples, and the 16-track audio recorder are capable to be used for recording vocals, other instruments, and more. For arranging and inspiration, the instrument comes including the company's KARMA technology intended for use in generating endless phrases, drum grooves, and full-blown backing tracks based on the notes and chords played. Drum Tracks are capable of generating drum patterns automatically; everything from a simple reference beat to a full-blown drum track.

The Open Sampling System are capable to quickly sample an external audio source regardless of operating modes, and it is capable to even resample the performance of the keyboard itself. The user sample bank is allowing the custom samples to be loaded and played, which takes advantage of the large SSD capacity. Additionally, the Kronos 73 comes functioning as an advanced control surface, two assignable switches, along with a four-way joystick, ribbon controller, and a Vector joystick. Nine sliders, eight knobs, and a number of switches are capable of providing real-time interaction with the keyboard sounds.
