The four-voice KORG MINILOGUEXDM minilogue xd module is Korg's professionally designed latest polyphonic analog synthesizer that is building upon the success of the Monologue, minilogue xd, and Prologue synthesizers and comes featuring the most sought after features of each, culminating in one of the most advanced instruments available. With the combination of multitimbre, multivoice, and Multi Engine technology, the minilogue xd module comes utilizing a best of feature set from each minilogue product that comes along with additional features including a digital multi-engine, digital effects, a feature-rich sequencer, and microtuning, which further is expanding the possibilities for sound design and performance.

In this latest addition, Korg implemented polychain support, allowing two minilogue xd series (keyboard or desktop module) units to connect for poly assignment settings. Specify one unit as the master and the other as the slave, and they will play as an eight-voice polyphonic synthesizer, supporting a variety of uses, such as a voice-expansion module for the minilogue xd, a sound module designed for a DAW-based production system, and more.

The synthesizer's architecture is using two VCOs + multi-engine (VCO3), a 12 dB/octave filter, two envelopes, a VCA, and an LFO. The multi-engine is comes equipped along with three sound generation devices that includes a noise generator, a variable phase modulation (VMP/FM) generator, and a user oscillator, which is giving you the capability to load your own oscillator programs including custom wavetables with the use of a free editor/librarian. The two-pole, low-pass filter along with enhanced sharpness adds drive with powerful distortion, as well as a key-track switch. Its sound covers almost every sonic possibility: powerful leads, fat basses, and the lush pads that you expect from a polyphonic synthesizer.

Additional features are made including a powerful arpeggiator, four voice modes, a powerful arpeggiator, a 16-step polyphonic sequencer with step, real-time, and motion recording, and a 32-bit digital effects engine, which is capable of providing three simultaneous effects including reverb, modulation, and delay. The desktop module comes alogn with no keyboard, but instead it is offering a keyboard mode, which is giving you the capability to use the 16 buttons for operating as a keyboard with more than an octave, providing a convenient way to check the sound. The assignable joystick is made for providing control over different assignable parameter intended for each program for inspired performances, and the OLED oscilloscope is providing visual feedback of parameter changes in real-time at the same time. The Korg Minilogue XD Desktop Module comes including free software and ships with a power adapter.

Multi-Engine

• Noise Generator: Four types of noise generators create percussive sounds or sound effects. Experience how digital filtering can produce direct changes in the color of the noise
• VPM Oscillator: The VPM (Variable Phase Modulation) / FM oscillator offers a metallic and sharp sound with complex overtones. With 16 types of oscillators and the Shape knob, you’ll have access to complex sound design possibilities
• User Oscillator: Load oscillator programs of your own creation. Sixteen slots are provided, and one type of morphing wavetable oscillator is built-in as a preset

• Poly: Operates as a poly synth with up to 4 voices. Turn the Voice Mode Depth knob to switch to Duo mode, in which the instrument operates with up to 4 voices
