KORG PA4XORT76 Pa4X with dedicated PCM for Arabic, Persian, and Turkish Sounds & Styles

Useful for recording, composing, editing, live-use, or even karaoke, the Pa4X 76 professionally created KORG is a multifaceted keyboard-based system intended for use by solo performers. It is sporting a 76 semi-weighted keys, as well an EDS-X sound engine, which is capable of powering over 1660 on-board sounds, including more than 250 sounds from the Far East, hence its "Oriental" designation; indeed, this version comes including a bonus package featuring effective resources from Middle Eastern libraries, giving you Persian, Arabic, and Turkish timbres.

An interactive touchscreen is made for providing a quick selection among parameters, and at the same time the DNC controls—including a four-way joystick, ribbon controller, and three assignable switches—are offering a nuanced manipulation over various timbres. Additionally, you are possible to use the arranger as a MIDI controller for your DAW.

The Pa4X is made for providing over 500 factory styles that comes along with which you are possible to accompany yourself, and each of these styles includes fills, intros, endings, breaks, and count-ins. There are also numerous banks for user sounds, user drum kits. Other programmable features come including a chord sequencer function giving you the capability to record harmonic progressions on the fly—freeing up both your hands for solo passages—and the SongBook database, which quickly is locating a musical pieces and recalls settings such as FX, tempo, master transpose, muted tracks and more.

Touchscreen Graphic Interface
A capacitive TouchView display is hosting a graphical interface that is easy and convenient to read. The entire screen is possible to be tilted forward and back for providing the optimal angle for viewing—on stage or off. A multi-function search feature can help you locate styles, songs, and more. Styles and keyboard sets can be read directly from a USB drive-without the need to load data in the internal memory.

Studio Effects
Over 140 effect types are available, including reverbs, delays, vintage stomp box simulations, amp and cabinet simulators, and more. In addition, each track features an EQ with low, midrange, and high controls, as well as a custom track EQ which can be memorized and recalled in the Song Play mode, thus allowing your song to sound its best any given environment. Also included is Waves MAXX AUDIO plug-in suite.

TC Helicon Voice Processing
Designed for the keyboard player who also vocalizes, the TC Helicon Voice Processor provides up to 4 realistic harmony voices, all controllable via the keyboard or through MIDI events. Available vocal effects include Double, µMod, Reverb, Delay, Filter, HardTune, Pitch Correction plus Compressor, EQ, Gate, etc. Three dedicated knobs and buttons for controlling important Voice Processor functions have been added to the top panel and placed within easy reach of the keyboard. The Adaptive Mic Setting monitors the input signal and auto-adjusts parameters such as the Adaptive Gate, EQ, Compression, and the De-Esser to lend vocals an instantly polished sound. Simply plug your microphone into the balanced XLR connection—phantom power is available.

Multi-Faceted On-Board Player
KORG's XDS Dual Player & Recorder features a crossfade slider for providing continuous song-playing, giving this device a bit of a DJ boost; load one as the other plays, then crossfade between them, or likewise, create a playlist for automatic playback. Two different MP3 or MIDI files can be played simultaneously. MIDI and MP3 files can be transposed, sped up or slowed down. A Marker Function allows for direct jumps to chosen song positions and gives you the ability to create loops. The "MP3+G" (also known as MP3+Graphics) format and other lyric formats are supported. This feature allows MP3 files to play with lyrics and graphics that can be displayed on the built-in display or on an external monitor. Combine its lyrical component with its on-board Vocal Remover, and the Pa4X facilitates Karaoke.

On-Board Sequencer and Notation
A 16-track recorder allows for sophisticated levels of sequencing and editing, and provides tools in song creation. Indeed, the Pa4X can record your entire performance; you can play back a song, play the keyboard, sing along, and everything will be recorded and saved as an MP3 file. You can then play that MP3 file again to add a further keyboard track or voice part. Using the note data saved in a MIDI file, the Pa4X can display traditional musical notation with notes and/or chords, together with lyrics and chord abbreviations. This Score Viewer can be seen on the internal TouchView screen, or displayed on an external video monitor. Chord names can also be read in English or Italian.

SongBook
The on-board SongBook is a fully programmable and easily searchable Music Database. Each entry contains all the settings required to play a particular song. The SongBook can save and access styles, MIDI files, or MP3s, while immediately recalling settings such as the song title, genre, artist, tempo, volumes, sounds, muted tracks, FX settings, easy-edit parameters, 4 keyboard sets, 4 pads, TC Helicon® presets, master transpose, and more. A filter feature allows you to search for entries using a variety of selectable criteria (i.e., "love" in the title, "ballad" in the genre, both at the same time). SongBook also includes a Set List function, with a convenient panel-button association for fast recall during live gigs. You can view and edit your set-lists utilizing Windows based computer. It can also be synchronized with iOS and Android tablets to become your handy external digital music sheet reader (third-party software required for this task).

Connections
In addition to the Main Left and Right outputs, the Pa4X includes two additional assignable outputs, ideal for isolating parts for additional signal processing or feeding external mixers. A headphone output is located on the front panel. For inputs, the Pa4X provides a pair of balanced 1/4" inputs (Line 1) and a stereo 1/8" jack (Line 2) for use with smartphones, mobile devices, etc. A microphone input, replete with selectable phantom power, is also available. MIDI In, Out, and Thru connectors are provided, as well as a USB to computer (device) port. The composite RCA video output delivers the score and lyric display—or mirrors the internal display—to an external monitor.
