Lectrosonics DCR822-941 | Compact Dual-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver (941: 941 to 959 MHz)
The Lectrosonics DCR822 is a compact dual-channel digital wireless receiver and the successor to the renowned UCR411a. Designed to deliver two channels in the same compact footprint, it provides the RF reliability, audio quality, and flexibility required for professional film, television, broadcast, sports, and reality production. Built around Lectrosonics' advanced Vector Diversity technology, the DCR822 uses two RF front ends per channel to maintain reliable reception in demanding RF environments. Its wide 18 MHz tuning bandwidth, onboard RF spectrum analyzer, and SmartTune function make it easy to locate clean operating frequencies in congested spectrum conditions. Transmitter settings can then be transferred directly from the receiver using one-button IR synchronization. The receiver supports Lectrosonics' D-Squared mono transmitters, including the DBu, DHu, and DPR, as well as stereo transmitters such as the DCHT and M2R. It also maintains backward compatibility with Digital Hybrid Wireless transmitters, providing a practical upgrade path for existing systems.
For secure wireless applications, the DCR822 supports AES-256-CTR encryption with four selectable key policies. Two independent TA3M output connectors can be configured for microphone/line-level analog audio or two-channel AES3 digital output, allowing the receiver to integrate with a wide range of production equipment. An integrated SDHC recorder provides an additional backup option by recording WAV/BWF files while the receiver continues to deliver the wireless audio signal. A bright OLED display and intuitive controls provide clear access to system status and settings, while the rugged machined aluminum housing is designed for demanding field use. The DCR822 operates for up to 6 hours on four AA batteries and can also be powered externally using the optional DCR12/A5U universal DC power supply. Removable AMJ jointed antennas, a microSD card, and a zippered carrying case are included.
