The Lectrosonics DPR-A is a versatile digital plug-on transmitter designed to connect directly to virtually any microphone or line-level source through a standard XLR connector. Its compact plug-on design makes it well suited for professional film, television, broadcast, and live production applications where a reliable wireless connection is required. The DPR-A tunes across the UHF television band in 100 kHz or 25 kHz steps and offers selectable RF output power of 10, 25, or 50 mW, providing flexibility for different operating environments and transmission distances. Its fully digital architecture supports AES-256-CTR encryption for applications requiring secure wireless audio, while the external antenna helps provide excellent operating range. High-efficiency digital circuitry allows the transmitter to operate for extended periods on two AA batteries, with operating status shown through a multicolor LED. An integrated IR synchronization port simplifies setup with compatible receivers, while firmware updates can be installed using an SD card. For clean, professional audio performance, the DPR-A uses an ultra-low-noise input amplifier combined with wide-range gain control and a dual-envelope limiter. The limiter provides more than 30 dB of headroom above full modulation, helping protect the audio chain against overload. A 24-bit A/D converter digitizes the incoming signal before digital filtering removes supersonic content above 21 kHz.
