The Lectrosonics DSSM is the enhanced, fully digital successor to the SSM, combining advanced wireless performance with an exceptionally compact and rugged design. With an IP57-rated enclosure, the DSSM is engineered to withstand demanding production environments where dust and water resistance are essential. The IP57 rating provides protection against dust ingress and allows the transmitter to withstand water immersion up to 1 meter for more than 30 minutes. Despite its rugged construction, the DSSM maintains a compact form factor that is well suited for discreet placement and concealed body-worn applications. Its design also supports quick battery replacement for efficient field operation. Ideal for theater, television, film, and broadcast, the DSSM delivers reliable digital transmission in applications where concealment and environmental protection are important. It is compatible with current Lectrosonics digital receivers, including the DSQD, DCR822, DSR, DSR4, M2Ra, and DCHR. The DSSM incorporates high-efficiency circuitry to maximize operating time when powered by the rechargeable LB-50 battery. Selectable RF output levels include 10 mW and 35 mW in D2 compatibility mode, while the 4 mW High Density Mode (HDM) provides an efficient option for high-density wireless environments. The transmitter also supports dock charging, offering convenient battery charging between productions.
