The Lectrosonics UMCWB Wideband Multi-Coupler is a compact, rack-mountable RF distribution system designed to provide both RF signal and power distribution for up to four compact diversity receivers in a single rack space. Its wideband architecture supports receivers operating across frequency Blocks 21 through 29, offering greater flexibility for professional wireless systems. For optimal performance, the antennas used with the system should also cover the complete frequency range of the installed receivers. The UMCWB features selective front-end filtering that reduces unwanted RF energy outside the operating passband, helping minimize intermodulation and noise. A low-noise RF amplifier then compensates for signal losses introduced by the internal splitter, maintaining strong and consistent RF levels for the connected receivers.
A precision RF splitter/isolator distributes the incoming signal into four isolated outputs, minimizing unwanted RF interaction between receivers. Its termination-independent design also allows mismatched or disconnected outputs without significantly affecting the performance of the remaining receivers. Power is supplied to the RF and power distribution module through an external DC power supply, helping reduce potential AC hum and interference. Individual internal auto-reset fuses protect each receiver's power circuit, allowing the remaining receivers to continue operating even if power to one receiver is interrupted.
