Neumann TLM 102 Cardioid mic with K 102 capsule, includes SG 2 and carton box

This latest Neumann TLM 102 comes styled in a "Nickel" (Neumann TLM 102) and "Black" (Neumann TLM 102 BK) finish. The Neumann TLM 102 Large-Diaphragm Studio Condenser Microphone is professionally designed as a large diaphragm condenser microphone capable to operate in a cardioid polar pattern. It comes with the ability to withstand very high sound pressure levels.

The capsule, that comes with tits high SPL rating, is designed to permit the recording of percussion, amplifiers, drums, and other very loud sound sources, meaning that loud sounds aren't a problem. The microphone is built equally capable by the time of recording lower volume sounds because of its very fast transient response. However, its most important applications are in the realm of vocals and speech.

A slight boost above 6 kHz is intended for providing a great vocal presence, and at the same time below 6 kHz the frequency response is extremely linear for minimal coloration and a clearly defined bass range. The capsule comes with an elastic suspension to make the structure-borne noise minimize, and an integrated pop screen in the grille is aiding in suppressing plosives in vocal and speech recording at the same time.

  • Large-diaphragm microphone with cardioid directional characteristic
  • Pressure-gradient transducer
  • Compact, smaller-scale body
  • Very high maximum sound pressure level (SPL)
  • Slight presence boost above 6 kHz
  • Transformerless circuitry
