The Neumann TLM 102 STUDIO SET comes styled in a nickel finish, while the TLM 102 STUDIO SET BK comes styled in a black finish. It is a Large-Diaphragm Studio Condenser Microphone designed capable of operating in a cardioid polar pattern. The TLM 102 STUDIO SET comes with the ability to withstand very high sound pressure levels.

The capsule, that come with its high SPL rating, is intended for permitting the recording of drums, percussion, amplifiers, and other very loud sound sources. The microphone is designed equally capable by the time of recording lower volume sounds due to its fast transient response. However, its most important applications are in the realm of speech and vocals.
