QSC CX-Qn 4K4 4-Channel 1000W/CH Q-SYS network Amplifier, Lo-Z, 70V, 100V direct drive

The CX-Q Series network amplifiers is the product of combined legacies of advancements in high-efficiency output devices, native network transport and robust power amplifiers, monitoring and control capabilities of the Q-SYS Ecosystem. The QSC CX-Qn 4K4 is designed with four channels that's making it capable of delivering customized power output loading and up to 4000 W of total maximum power. Low-Z, 70 V or 100 V direct drive are available on all channels.

Features and Benefits

Q-SYS Ecosystem Integration – Simple drag-and-drop integration into your Q-SYS design, enabling network routing, advanced processing and control.

Legacy of power redefined – These network amplifiers are built with a 5th generation high-efficiency, Class-D hybrid powertrain design built upon the dependable PL380 PowerLight™ amplifier platform.

Flexible & efficient channel power distribution – CX-Q Series network amplifiers feature FlexAmp™ and FAST (Flexible Amplifier Summing Technology™), which combine to provide extreme flexibility in output deployment.

Network inputs only – “Qn” models are network input only (no local inputs) to reduce cost in scenarios where no local inputs are necessary.

Additional Features

  • PowerLight universal switchmode power supply with PFC for highest efficiency, improved audio performance and low weight
  • Touch-proof Euroblock loudspeaker connections
  • Eight bi-directional GPIO connections for further control and integration of third-party peripherals within Q-SYS
  • Automatic energy saving modes ensure that the amplifier will draw the minimum amount of AC power while still providing outstanding audio quality

Traditional amplifiers lock the “per channel” power distribution, which limits an amplifier’s capabilities to use the amplifiers total power.

  • Loudspeakers on Channel 1 and 2 only require 240 W and 900 W.  This results in a total of 860 W of unused, wasted power on those channels.
  • Loudspeakers on Channel 3 and 4 require 1200 W and 1500 W, but channel C and channel D are only capable of outputting 1000 W per channel. To solve this issue, a second amplifier needs to be deployed, which is both inefficient and costly!

  • FlexAmp™ allows for asymmetric output channel loading by drawing from large power reserves and distributing customized output power levels to each channel
  • FAST (Flexible Amplifier Summing Technology™) allows channels to be combined in bridge mode, parallel mode or bridge/parallel mode to deliver either high voltage loads (up to 200 Vrms) or higher current loads (up to 35 A)

These two technologies enable far more fluid power distribution and ultimately decrease system cost by reducing wasted power and channels, while removing the need to specify multiple amplifiers with different power ratings in a multi-zone installation.
