TANNOY CVS 4 MICRO (EN 54) 4" Coaxial In-Ceiling Loudspeaker with Shallow Back Can for Installation Applications (EN 54 Certified) (CVS 4 MICRO (EN 54)
The CVS 4 MICRO (EN 54) is meticulously engineered to provide exceptional audio performance in background and foreground music systems. Tailored for various settings such as restaurants, hotels, houses of worship, and diverse business environments, this model offers remarkable power handling, a broad frequency response, and minimal distortion, reminiscent of studio-grade reference monitors rather than conventional ceiling speakers. Its resulting sound delivers warmth, nuanced details, and pristine clarity that captivate listeners without being intrusive. What sets the CVS 4 MICRO (EN 54) apart is its EN 54-24 certification, ensuring compliance with stringent standards for fire detection and alarm systems. This certification underscores its suitability for environments where safety is a primary concern.
Exceptional Sound and Reliability
The CVS 4 MICRO (EN 54) features a meticulously designed 100 mm (4.00") mid-bass driver paired with a coaxially mounted 19 mm (0.75") high-frequency section. Encased in an injection-molded semi-matte white front baffle made from UV/weather-resistant UL 94 V-0 ABS material, this speaker seamlessly blends into any environment without drawing attention. Its mineral-loaded polypropylene cone and nitrile rubber surround ensure durability and long-term reliability, offering exceptional performance over time. With a shallow back can depth of less than 4" (98.3 mm), the CVS 4 MICRO (EN 54) is engineered for spaces where limited above-ceiling room is a concern, yet uncompromising sonic quality and reliability remain paramount.
Comprehensive Installation Package
The CVS 4 MICRO (EN 54) comes equipped with a comprehensive set of installation features to meet various application requirements. Its integral plated steel shallow back can ensure robust installation, while the Phoenix * connector, along with a steel cover and EN 54-compliant strain relief clamping mechanism, ensures secure connections, especially with fire-rated cables. This speaker boasts a low insertion loss 15 W line transformer with multiple taps, accommodating 70 V and 100 V line systems or a 6 Ohm direct input. Swift installation, includes two tile support rails and one C-ring in the package. Additionally, there's an optional plaster (mud) ring accessory available for specific installation needs.
