The Teradek 15-0048, also known as TOF.1 Precision Infrared Laser Range Finder, is professionally designed giving you the capability to add precise distance measurement to your subject having a more accurate focus pulls by the time you're using the Teradek RT MDR.X receiver that comes along with either the CTRL.1 or CTRL.3 controller. The compact TOF.1 is created small enough possible to mount onto your rig alongside the MDR.X unit, and it comes featuring a NATO rail and 1/4"-20 thread mounting options. A detachable laser sight comes included capable of providing a red visual target for your focus puller, which is already calibrated to the centered with the TOF.1 field of view. The TOF.1 is being powered and controlled with the use of a single 4-pin motor cable, which is also included.
The TOF.1 plugs into the MDR.X unit using the included 4-pin motor cable, which enables it to transmit distance information measured with infrared LEDs from the camera to your CTRL.1 or CTRL.3 controller. Using a serial/AUX connection to a compatible SmallHD monitor using its Rangefinder Overlay feature, you can also view the distance information transmitted to the controller right on the display. The TOF.1 has a 3° detection radius measured at your range to the target, which means a target 16' away will have a detection diameter of 10". Range detection is easily calibrated using the MDR.X controller menu system. Other features include a smoothing algorithm to reduce jitter, a range up to 100', and a refresh rate of up to 60x per second.
The TOF.1 data is also compatible with SmallHD monitors with PageOS 4 software, allowing you to update your CTRL.1 or CTRL.3 with the RT overlay option to read the distance data right on your SmallHD monitor.

Powered by Teradek RT Wireless FIZ System
Control and power for TOF.1 are provided by MDR.X and require only a single control cable, the same as for Teradek RT Lens Motors. Access configuration tools within the MDR.X menu to accurately calibrate TOF.1. MDR.X radio control with CTRL.1 and CTRL.3 handheld wireless controllers will also communicate TOF.1 distance readouts.
Hyper-Accurate IR Sensor
LED infrared beams measure the distance of subjects within a 3° field of view of TOF.1 proximity sensor, at a direct line-of-sight range of up to 100'. The overall radius of the sensor's field of view will narrow or widen as a subject moves toward/away from the camera, allowing a long range of focal detection from macro close-ups to farther distances.
Responsive Autofocus
Autofocus can be enabled by programming any User Button on CTRL.1 or CTRL.3. Identify and set a focal point and the lens motor will adjust accordingly. TOF.1 refreshes a subject's distance measurement 60 times a second, with instantaneous adjustments to focal length by the lens motor, faster than the human eye can understand movement. A proprietary smoothing algorithm prevents excessive jitter within the lens motor, so back-and-forth adjustments are blended together with near imperceptibility.
Customizable SmallHD RT Overlays
SmallHD's powerful PageOS 4 software features lens data overlays that display critical follow-focus information. Connect any compatible SmallHD monitor with CTRL.1 or CTRL.3 and activate the RT Overlay option to view TOF.1's numerical distance readout on-screen. The rangefinder information can be adjusted in size and positioned to anywhere on the monitor's display, so Camera Assistants can compare lens position and adjust focus with their wireless controller accordingly. For a completely wireless workflow, pair SmallHD monitors with Teradek Bolt 4K wireless video receivers.

Detachable Laser Sight
The included detachable laser sight can be mounted to the top of TOF.1 via clip-on NATO rail. The activated red laser beam is perfectly centered within TOF.1's field of view, which allows focus pullers to locate their exact focal point before hitting record.
