The Universal Audio TBOC, or the Thunderbolt 2 Option Card, is designed for Apollo and Apollo 16 audio interfaces. It is capable of providing blazing fast PCIe audio drivers, reduced UAD plug-in latency versus Apollo’s standard FireWire connection, improved performance at higher sample rates, and greater UAD plug-in instances. The Option Card is compatible to use alongside Intel's Thunderbolt technology on the latest generation of MacBook Airs®, iMacs®,Mac minis, Windows* systems, and MacBook® Pros, the Universal Audio TBOC is designed to offer the next-generation connectivity and unrivaled bandwidth for the Apollo interface.

The Universal Audio TBOC comes equipped with two Thunderbolt ports, and into the expansion bay of Apollo can be easily slide. The Bus power is provided to downstream Thunderbolt devices, which allows the music producers to connect Thunderbolt peripherals in series with the Apollo interface - that includes 4K displays, hard drivers, and computer monitors.
