Yamaha MONTAGE 8 88-KEY FLAGSHIP MUSIC SYNTHESIZER

The Montage 8 is an 88-key workstation synthesizer designed by Yamaha that combines elements of the DX- and Motif-series keyboards. The Montage is combining 2-sound engines by employing motion-control synthesis: FM-X (frequency modulation synthesis) and AWM2 (synthesis- and sample-based sounds).

The AWM2 engine, powered by playback technology and proprietary Yamaha data compression is offering realistic sound reproduction and is featuring approximately 10 -times the waveform capacity of the Motif XF. It means that the Montage 8 is allowing for far more samples per instrument than the XF and thus a far more nuanced sound. The FM-X engine of Montage 8 is also able to producing everything from classic '80s FM-based basses and bells, to harsh, cutting-edge modern EDM-type sounds. 8-operator FM architecture and 128-note polyphony is also featured that is permitting it for a massive array of sound-design options.
